Ride the Sky Equine Photography is looking for individuals who want to be part of our team! We currently have availability for part-time help, such as horse and pet photography session assistants and business interns.

Equine Photography Session Assistants

 

Horse photography session assistants are specifically available for assisting during horse photography sessions. These individuals are knowledgeable about horses and enjoy being around them.

Additionally, you must have some flexibility in your schedule as we are at the whim of the weather when shooting outdoors. This is a paid position.

The majority of travel that involves a need for assistance is in the following areas:

  • East Tennessee, such as Chattanooga or Knoxville
  • North Georgia, such as Rome, Dalton, Ringgold
  • North Alabama, such as Huntsville, Toney, and Ider

 

Requirements    

  • You must have reliable transportation. For longer distances, you are welcome to ride with me.
  • Photography experience is not necessary. However, horse experience is very important.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Are good at following directions
  • Are not allergic to horses OR dogs
  • Reliable
  • Love to laugh and have fun

 

 

Skills Needed

  • Ability to hold/lead/lunge horses
  • Able to hold/carry/set up equipment (may weigh up to 50lbs)
  • Capable of taking Behind the Scenes shots/video on a cell phone 
  • Willingness to make a fool of yourself to get a horse’s attention as needed
  • Keeping track of time

Business Interns

 

Interested in learning the business side of photography? Then a Marketing and Business Internship might be a good fit for you!

Marketing and Business Interns help with the flip side of the business – all the things that are done when we aren’t out shooting. In a photography business, approximately 80% is spent on business while 20% of your time is spent on shooting. So there is always plenty to do.

This is a part-time paid position. However, hours would vary depending on what projects are currently on-going.

This position can be based in the Chattanooga, TN area or remotely if you have a computer and good-quality internet access.

 

Requirements   

  • Must be a self-starter
  • No horse experience is necessary
  • Must like social media and marketing
  • Must be good at following directions
  • Must be organized
  • Must be able to keep track of time

 

 

Skills Needed

  • Communication Skills
  • Organization skills
  • Ability to learn new computer programs quickly
  • Functional Knowledge of various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc 
  • Rapid keyboarding skills a plus
  • Knowledge of WordPress and/or SEO a plus
