Say Goodbye to Stress: How Ride the Sky Makes Equestrian Portraits Fun and Relaxing
Let’s be real.
When you think of “portrait session,” do words like “awkward,” “stressful,” and “boring” come to mind? Sure, I get it. That’s my ultimate nightmare too—1000% nightmare fuel.
But here’s where Ride the Sky Equine Photography comes in: stress-free equestrian portrait session that’s actually *fun*. Yes, I said fun!
Sound too good to be true? Hang tight, and let me explain how we roll here at Ride the Sky.
Here’s How My Clients Describe Their Sessions
Whenever I wrap up a session, I always ask my clients how they felt about the experience. And you know what words come up the most?
1. Relaxed – because who needs stress when you’re trying to capture the perfect shot?
2. Entertaining – because we’re not here to bore you to tears, we’re here to have a blast!
3. Fun – because if it’s not fun, then what’s the point?
4. Chill – because we’re all about those good vibes and laid-back moments.
5. Easygoing – because life is already complicated enough, am I right?
Trust me, you won’t be stressing about the camera. We’ll be too busy laughing at your horse sticking out their tongue or acting like a goofball. That’s the beauty of a fun photography experience — it’s as easygoing as you want it to be, without the stiff awkwardness you dread.

Capturing Those Goofy Moments (Because Why Not?)
You want a stress-free equestrian portrait session? Well, here’s a little secret: the magic happens when you let go of trying to control everything.
When your horse decides to throw a little sass or give us a goofy face, we’re not panicking—we’re celebrating! These are the moments that make your session unique.
You’ll be so focused on enjoying your horse’s antics that you’ll forget you’re even being photographed.
And the best part? You’ll end up with a collection of images that feel genuine, not staged.
Chill Vibes Only: Making Your Session Relaxed and Easygoing
One thing I promise is this: your session will be the opposite of stressful.
We’re talking chill, laid-back vibes from start to finish. I’m all about going with the flow. So, if our plans go a little haywire—maybe your horse decides today is the day to run laps instead of stand still—no worries! We’ll adapt and roll with it like the professional we are.
You’ll leave wondering why you ever stressed about a portrait session in the first place. It’s not just about the images — it’s also about having a good time while creating them.
Betsy did a maternity shoot with my daughter and her husband, her horse and her baby’s horse. It was such a fun day with lots of laughing and energy and the resulting photos were gorgeous! Betsy has an equine background, so she knows how to capture their best angles and features. She is very organized, had a plan and knew where to get the best light and backgrounds. We didn’t have to wait too long for the beautiful results and now have an album that my daughter and her family will cherish.

Creating Timeless, Classic Portraits (While Having a Blast)
Of course, we’ll still end up with some jaw-droppingly beautiful portraits. That’s a given.
But along the way, during that stress-free equestrian portrait session you are worrying about, we’ll create new memories. It’s not just about capturing a moment—it’s about living in that moment, laughing, and having fun.
The result? Stunning, timeless portraits that’ll make you smile every time you see them hanging on your wall. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t want that?
