If you have been reading the blog post on brand values, you may wonder what the Ride the Sky Equine Photography brand values are. So, I thought it might be good to put together a list so you can see what this brand stands for. Hopefully, this will give you some inspiration on picking out your own brand values for your equestrian business.

If the idea of figuring out your brand values makes you want to break out in hives,  download the list of 194 brand values at the bottom of the post.

You can take that list and start by crossing off everything that really doesn’t speak to you.

After all, it’s a lot easier to say “I’m definitely NOT that…” than it is to say, “Yeah, that’s me”.

Ideally, you want to end up with about 3-6 brand values. Because I’m such an overachiever, I naturally ended up at the high end of the spectrum with six.

If you get stuck around 20, ask some of your closest friends or good clients which ones they think to represent your brand. You might be surprised at what they say.

Often the people around us are picking up on vibes that we don’t even realize we are giving out.

So, without further ado, here are my brand values to give you some inspiration for creating your own set of brand values.

Ride the Sky Brand Value Enthusiasm
Ride the Sky Brand Value Relationships

Enthusiasm

I do everything with enthusiasm and humor. If you know me at all, you know this describes me to a T.

I love my job. I mean I LOVE it. It feeds both the creative and entrepreneurial sides of me.

I also love to laugh. I will 100 percent be the photographer laughing right along with you when your horse is acting goofy during a portrait session.

I mean, seriously, what’s the point of doing anything if you aren’t having fun doing it? I want others to have fun when they are with me. I don’t want to be another chore on your checklist.

I want you to feel that the time we spent together made your life better and was worth it. I want you to be as excited about what we create together as I am.

Relationships

I want relationships that are built with genuineness and integrity.

I want my clients to know I am invested in their success. I want them to be empowered to be the amazing women they are.

I’m invested in what happens with their horses.

I’m the girl who wakes up in the middle of the night worrying about if your horse has healed from his abscess, how he did his first horse show, and if he got his blanket last night because it was cold.

Ride the Sky Brand Value Excellence
Ride the Sky Brand Value Creativity

Excellence

I truly believe in excellence as a business rule. Whatever you do, it should be done with excellence. Otherwise, why do it?

I work with top-notch professional labs because I want my portrait clients to have the best when it comes to their end products.

I make sure that I communicate with my clients as much as possible and that everything is clear.

I pay extra attention to details.

Whether is an email to a client or making sure someone’s hair isn’t a mess at a shoot. Taking care of those details is what takes things from ordinary to exceptional.

Creativity

When most people think of photographers and creativity, they think of posing or the image itself.  And yes, I absolutely use creativity in that way.

I help clients to create portrait sessions that speak to the story of their horse, their bond, and their style.

I show a client how they can create a home that is uniquely theirs. No settling for that same store-bought horse print that everyone else bought in 2007 also.

I use creativity to show equestrian business owners how to create an equestrian brand that is so uniquely them, that their ideal client can’t help but join their herd.

However, creativity is a large part of how I run my business also. It allows me to be innovative, problem-solving, adaptable, and flexible.

It gives you the ability to work smarter, not harder. I run a full-time business in part-time hours.

When you run a business, you have to be adaptable – whether it’s offering a new product or service or a new way of doing business. Being creative in how you adapt and change your business with allow your business to grow.

Ride the Sky Brand Value Organization
Ride the Sky Brand Value Knowledge

Organization

My little Type A heart loves a good workflow, moodboard, or organizational chart. Eek!

Seriously, the obsession is real…and a little disturbing…

The truth is I’m busy.

I’ve got teenagers.

I’ve got 2 extremely needy dogs.

A husband who travels a lot for work. I travel for work.

Doctor’s appointments, meetings zoom calls, and more.

Your girl’s got a crazy schedule.

My current calendar is so crazy I have to pencil in times for things like “Take a Break” and “Don’t forget to Eat”.

Organization is key to my life. And because of that, I can show up for my clients.

As in literally show up. Be at a shoot where and when I am supposed to. Which is a big concern considering how directionally challenged I am…

But also, show up with all the details, answers, and planning that is a Ride the Sky specialty.

Knowledge

I love to learn.

No joke, I can geek out and go down a rabbit hole on some new educational thing.

Conferences, workshops, online classes, I’ve always got something going on. I listen to about 30 podcasts regularly, read multiple books a month, and read blogs on a variety of subjects.

When I’m interested in something, I’m all in.  I want to learn as much as possible.

I constantly use my photographic and business knowledge to level up my game.  And to help my clients up theirs.

In my world, knowledge inspires leadership and growth not only for myself. But also for my clients.
